We’ve just finished our 7 week Got Sit training course with Chelsea. We have two 4 year old Havanese brothers who , although really sweet, had taken over the alpha position in our home displayed through lots of barking at home, towards other dogs on walks and jumping on people.
We started calling them “ the Infamous Havanese Brothers” …we needed help getting back in control. Got Sit was recommended to us by a friend whose vet had recommended them for her Labrador. We called for a consultation and AJ came to our home, told us about the program and with his own dog who he had brought with him, demonstrated the behaviors we would be taught to teach our dogs. We signed up and met Chelsea who has been our teacher for 6 of the 7 weeks.
With her gentle guidance, we have learned a better way of communicating and interacting with our dogs. Chelsea was always up-beat and positive, taking the time to answer our questions and encouraging us and giving great suggestions. We did meet with another trainer, Corey, once when Chelsea was on vacation, and he was also a very impressive trainer. We would recommend Got Sit to any dog owner who is searching for help in training their dog(s) as we were impressed with the skill set of each trainer we met.
Our boys’ manners have really improved and we’ve gotten such great feedback from friends, family and neighbors on how much calmer and well behaved our boys are. It’s hard work for owners- you have to put the time in with your dogs and use the skills that the trainers are teaching- but, it’s really worth the time and money because we love our dogs! It’s really obvious, too, that the trainers love dogs too!
